AIIM Member's Hour: Spotlight - IM Assessments – A Case Study for Addressing AI Risks

This session will provide a case study of integrating AI considerations into Information Management (IM) Assessments of technology projects at the City of Toronto, with a focus on embedding these requirements into existing IT project governance processes. By focusing on risk management, awareness, and information governance through procurement, project delivery, and change management, this session will describe challenges and approaches for ensuring information integrity and protection in a changing technology landscape while managing and mitigating AI risks.

Learning Objectives:

  • Working with partners in IT, Cybersecurity, Legal, Procurement, and business to address unique challenges of AI in the project lifecycle
  • Ensuring legislated IM and privacy compliance needs are being met in a consistent manner through risk assessment, change management, training, and outreach
  • Problem-solving and approaches to addressing shifting AI trends and needs in a large public-sector organization
