When trying to understand complex areas of the GDPR, one formally sanctioned group to start with is the Article 29 Working Party. This group includes personnel from each EU member state and their goal is to provide 'guidance' on the GDPR, as they did formally with the 1995 Data Protection Directive. Their guidance is subject area specific, e.g., what is 'consent'. Therefore, the WP29 is the best place to start when understanding how the EU privacy regulations should be played out in business. And, while their documents are never short, they are quite clear. The 'downside' is that the WP29 takes a very conservative POV. Perhaps such a conservative POV wouldn't hold up in the CJEU when challenged. Nonetheless, their guidance is authored by many of those that penned the GDPR.Please find attached a guidance document on how the GDPR impacts employers with employees in the EU. For example, how to apply the GDPR during recruitment process.Greg Reidwww.linkedin.com/in/gregoryreid
