Happy Monday WIIM! :)
In the past, I've been fortunate enough to create and assist others in fundraising for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.
Every year, Making Strides have events all over, where hundreds or even thousands of people gather to walk a 5k and fundraise to support the ACS's efforts for Breast Cancer support, awareness, and efforts towards finding the Cure!
I thought it would be REALLY fun for us to create a virtual team this year! I've gone ahead and started one - The Wonderful Women of WIIM for the Win! I thought how fun this could be where we could all individually fundraise, recruit others to join the team, and all decide that we we all participate in a 5k, where ever we are in the world, to support one common goal! It would be fun to invite our WIIM allies in the AIIM Community to support us in a Men Wear Pink campaign, and to see how we can pull together, as a community to support a great cause!
We have LOTS of time until the "Making Strides on the Go" event on October 26th - but thought we might be able to start thinking of different ways we can start fundraising and promoting this campaign both in the Community and in our work lives!
