I like Microsoft SharePoint. There, I've said it. I suspect I will like many more software applications in the coming years and while I am encouraged that AIIM helps inform its membership about the available tools, can't help but feel that we might spend a bit too much time discussing those tools and just a tad too little time on the fundamentals of how to use effectively integrate information into our business work flows or processes. My experience is that information management is still viewed by many as an IT function and not as something that all managers and their teams need to understand and manage effectively so that they accomplish their goals.
