Together, we are AIIM!
This week we meet Theresa Resek, Director, Webinars and Online Content. Theresa has worked with AIIM since August 1998. Remember the AIIM BookStore? She used to manage that in her first position at AIIM. She was born in Washington, Pennsylvania. That's the home of Duncan Miller Glass, and she even has a few surviving swan pieces, “It’s a local thing”, she says.
She has lived in Montgomery County, Maryland her entire adult life and has called Silver Spring home for the last 16 years. She shares her world with her crooked-faced, 95 lb rescued chocolate Lab, Thurber, who was named for one of her favorite writers, James Thurber. Let’s meet Theresa.

What do you do and what do love about it?
I currently head up the global webinar program and have produced over 180 of them. I really enjoy being a project manager and spinning a whole lot of plates at the same time. The added bonus is helping people learn things and working with so many great analysts and consultants from around the world.
Describe yourself using 3 words only.
Theresa could not come up with 3 words- so we asked another long time employee:
Pet-Friendly. Smart. Giving.
What are you proudest of?
Along with my sister, convincing our parents to move from their retirement home in Florida to Maryland a couple years ago. I got to spend the last year of my dad’s life in the same town, which means so much to me.
What movie, no matter how many times you’ve seen it, do you have to watch when it’s on?
Guilty pleasure watching is usually a mindless action or martial arts flick (thanks to a friend from many years ago I’ve seen all of Van Damme’s movies– did I just admit that?!); my favorites are Singin’ In the Rain (Donald O’Connor was genius!), Victor/Victoria, and Pulp Fiction.
Summer or Winter?
Winter (it IS coming)
Favorite color?
Royal blue
What do you do for fun?
I love to cook and bake, usually with music blaring in the house. I used to moonlight for a caterer just for fun. And, do stay out of my tiny kitchen when I have a knife in my hand. The only exception is for Thurber who has learned to lay down in the smack-center of the galley and not move. He knows I’ll step over him and the fridge door will open above him, so he gets to be in the thick of the action, out of the way, in plain sight.
