Today, we go behind the scenes with Georgina Clelland, AIIM’s Events Director. Georgina has been with AIIM for 11 years as of today, February 26, 2014. She is from Evesham, England (as her husband will attest, she’s not from the United Kingdom!) and now with her husband, 2 beautiful teenage daughters, and 3 crazy fur-babies lives a "quiet" suburban existence in Maryland, USA.
What do you do and what do love about it?
I am AIIM's Events Director, responsible for the portfolio of in-person events, including the AIIM Conference, Service Provider Forum and our spring and fall seminar series in various cities. I love making it all happen, pulling all the pieces together and creating an experience. I learned my trade at a tender age, we have home movies of me directing chickens into groups so I could hand out food for them.

Passionate. Determined. Loyal.
What are you proudest of?
Professionally, AIIM Conference 2012 in San Francisco and delivering a new conference to the industry which met with such excitement and energy. Standing there as John Mancini took the stage and all my work, efforts and sleepless nights came to fruition. That's why I love what I do.
Personally, would have to be my move across the pond to the US. My 6 1/2 years here have certainly been action packed, professionally and personally. My 2 year adventure turned into marriage, homeownership and a family! I have no regrets and thank you AIIM for the opportunity.
What movie, no matter how many times you’ve seen it, do you have to watch when it’s on?
Dirty Dancing! I'm such an 80's chick!

Summer – I need to move further south after this winter!

Yellow
What do you do for fun?
Still being new to the US – any chance of exploring is fun. Be it hiking with Oscar the dog in one of Maryland's State Parks, walking the monuments in DC, or enjoying sunshine by the water in Annapolis. Chilling with my friends and family, with good food and a nice cold glass of Pinot Grigio is also a favorite.
