AIIM is a Mover and Shaker in the Tech Press... 2012 Off to a Great Start

I'm only a couple of weeks into my new marketing role with AIIM and my mind is already blown with just how influential this organization has become, particularly with the Industry Watch reports. Kudos to that team, led by Doug Miles.

Here is just a sample of the buzz using AIIM research...

BankTech.com article on legal and records costs in financial services with great use of the Records Management Industry Watch survey results, in a post by Rich Walsh of Viewpointe.

AIIM White Paper on “Capturing Data to Multiple Business Processes” gets recognition in the Australian information management press as part of an interview with Kofax's Martyn Christian. More use of this AIIM research is in The Var Guy this month, with revealing ROI figures for organizations adopting capture technologies.

Fast Company mentions the Social Messaging Vendor Study done with research firm N:Sight, citing stats on the consumerization and personalization of IT and use of social network tools.

Forbes contributor Giovanni Rodriguez named the AIIM / Geoffrey Moore Task Force paper on “Systems of Engagement and the Future of Enterprise IT” as the “Best Social Media Idea of 2011

This task force paper was also named on a list of “Best Social Business Reports and White Papers of 2011” compiled by Oscar Berg of Tieto.

Mike Gotta, a co-panelist with AIIM President John Mancini at the December Gilbane wrote a rich exploration of the concept of Enterprise Q&A, using research from the Social Business Industry Watch. Key points from Gotta include the importance of focusing on user experience and interaction, not just technology platform selection or automation.

Channel Insider mentions the AIIM Social Business Systems Industry Watch in its coverage of market trends and new social media initiatives launched by IBM.

Perspectives on how AIIM Social Business research can be applied to needs of Canadian Public Sector were offered on the new Coradix Tech blog, including an extensively researched white paper authored by their new Executive Director of the ECM practice, Andrew Pery.

And finally, Enterprise Irregulars columnist and social business strategist Dion Hinchcliffe gave a great shout out to the new AIIM Conference in March 2012, where he will be one of our keynote speakers. I look forward to seeing all of our excellent keynote and session speakers in San Francisco this year.
