#papersucks: New Contest

By Bryant Duhon posted 09-16-2013 21:04

Starting with this contest, we’re going to be doing a series of activities leading up to World Paper Free Day (WPFD). For more information, you can check out the event’s Facebook page. In brief, the idea of WPFD is to spotlight the detrimental effect paper can have on your business processes. Sure, it’s bad for the environment (and we all want to be green), but it’s also bad for the bottom line.

Here’s all you need to know about the contest:
1.    #papersucks just popped into mind as a tag to use on Twitter, but we want to turn lemons into lemonade.
2.    Send to me via Twitter and/or email “1 way to reduce paper in your workday.” Also look for announcements on LinkedIn and Facebook too as additional ways to share. You can also reply in the comments section below.
3.    We’ll select a top 5 and open up for voting by the community.
4.    Winner receives free access to our brand new Process Improvement course and, of course, the adulation of the masses.

Deadline for submission: Monday, October 21
Winner announced: October 24 on WPFD

You can submit multiple times. We don’t have a word length in mind, but brevity counts. So does humor. To all vendors/integrators; please no product pitches – I’ll just ignore them anyway -- though ANYONE is welcome and encouraged to share their ideas.

Again, stay tuned to Twitter and LinkedIn (and this blog post), for updates.

As with all contests, I can’t wait to see what all of you come up with.
