The following are steps in starting up a new department with Content Management, which includes several items that IT will assist the department with.
-
We provide a onsite Demo and exact cost which includess an itemized list of expenses for the implementation
-
Once the Department has decided to move forward in implementing the Content Management system we will meet with the department to evaluate in more detail the needs and concerns. IT will need to establish a better understanding of the department's work for implementation of the Content Management system. Implementation can be time consuming and this will require patients and flexibility from the department. To help ease departmental concerns. We recommend departments visit other departments with similar request and needs to see how their implemenation process went. This not only provides an opportunity for the department to see how the system is working for others, but gives them a chance to ask questions in areas they are concerned about.
-
After the final evaluation of the department, and IT has received the requested specs, the testing phase begins. The testing phase includes training the individuals that will be performing the work and also having the management review and approve before going live with the system. This could be a lengthy process, depending on the options selected by the department, and depending on the staff regarding training.
-
Department is ready to go Live with the System, monitoring and availablility during the next couple of weeks helps the department from encountering major set backs and makes things flow smoothly.
-
IT always follows up by having the department evaluate their experience
IT’s goal is to met the expectations of the department, provide exact cost and keep everyone updated and involved in each stage of the implementation process until complete.
Please help us help you by sharing your experiences and/or solutions? We apprecate you feedback, it may benefit and help others with similar issues/concerns.
