Using Slack for Case Management with CMIS Repositories

Case Management is typically about bundling data/documents and routing it thru a business process (workflows/queues). Some of the big players in that space are IBM, Pega and Alfresco. These tools are backed by a content repository, workflow engine and a web based UI that will enable the users to work on a "Case" (a claim or Loan application). Case Management users typically work on activities using workflow queues and move data,content from one queue to the other. 

Slack is a collaboration tool (SaaS)  founded by Stewart Butterfield, the guy who created Flickr and sold it to Yahoo in 2005 for a small sum of $35M. Slack has a concept of Channels to organize the communication based on a topic or a function. Users can post messages and files in the channels to collaborate on a thing that they are working together.
