Hi all,
This is my first blog post in the E2.0 blog - though if you've read my posts on the ERM Community blog you'll note that I discuss a lot of social technology-related topics over there. While I will still probably post ERM-related topics from time to time, my focus these days is on Web 2.0/E2.0/social technologies/social business processes.
Why the change? In November I joined AIIM as the Director, Systems of Engagement. AIIM recognizes that there is a need to help organizations implement social technologies quickly, responsibly, and in a way that achieves business purposes - and at the same time, that our decades of experience in information management and governance uniquely position us to provide this guidance.
My focus is on helping organizations to understand, implement, and use social technologies in much the same way that AIIM has helped organizations understand, implement, and use ECM tools and processes. I will be directing our efforts to develop useful content to that end.
I hope to be able to contribute the same high-quality content as the other E2.0 experts in this community and even more to be able to learn from their best practices and lessons learned. And I'll always welcome your comments, feedback, and criticisms, either here or at jwilkins@aiim.org.
