AIIM True North would like to invite you to a webinar on March 25, 2021 at 12:00 PM ET.  The presentation will be a case study of data breach and will explore the prospects and options of approaching a "breach-proof" state.  This webinar is eligible for 1.0 CEU towards renewing your CIP certification.

Title: We're under attack! Is our data safe?

Description: The session will cover a real-life attack on a major corporation and the resulting mega-breach where personally identifiable information (PII) for nearly half of the U.S. population was compromised. The presentation will cover: 1) Overview of the corporate profile and business of the organization in question.  2) The applicability of the adage: Prevention is better than cure? Reactive vs Proactive approaches and their effectiveness.  3) Consequences and impact of a breach in general and in the context of Digital Transformation. Is it enough to be compliant with standards such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) or other relevant standards?  4) What options do organizations have and how do they address this challenge? Can organizations ever become "breach-proof"?

Speaker's Bio:
Waqas Mir is an entrepreneur and a consultant whose work in the world of technology spans more than 20 years involving the development and implementation of secure and compliant enterprise applications (ECM and AI) for both private and public sector firms.  He has also hosted a weekly Canadian TV show for five years. He has also taught and coached high school age students in public speaking for four years. Among his many interests, he is intrigued by how people, processes and technology come together in the context of Information and Cybersecurity.
