Tribe Talk: Information Management to Information Technology

When:  Sep 17, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM (ET)
Associated with  AIIM Open Forum

Many information management areas are moving into the IT department, sometimes a misunderstanding of why, how to talk to each other, and understanding the nuances in each role can make the transition a bit bumpy. This presentation will discuss ways information management professionals can help make that transition smoother. Angela Watt, CIP will tell you how she educated the IT department to answer “Why is Records Management in IT?” while using this opportunity to also learn how to speak the lingo. In the playground of IIM, this presentation will help you understand how everyone can play nice in the sandbox by understanding and respecting each other’s trade wheelhouses.
