Risk is everywhere, including in information management and digitization where AI is introduced. This session will discuss risks in information management including those within the realm of digitization using AI, as well as lessons learned from pilot projects. Next, the session will explain approaches to dealing with risks and specifically discuss AI and digitization risks in an interactive setting allowing for questions and answers.

Speaker’s Bio:
Nicholas Fonseca has over 20 years of experience in risk management, technology, and business management. His desire to share his knowledge has provided him with opportunities to present at conferences and symposia as well as leading programs at symposia and conferences. His experience includes work as a practitioner in information management, project, and departmental people leadership. Through leading digital transformation projects, managing organizational risk, he has added value to the bottom line of the organization while realizing significant gains in efficiency. Nicholas serves as president of the Insurance Institute of Northern Alberta and is a member of the Board of Governors of the Insurance Institute of Canada. Nicholas holds MBA and BSB/M degrees, CTAJ and CIP (IIC) designations. He teaches Cyber Risk, Data in Business, and Loss Prevention courses at the Institute as part of the Chartered Insurance Professional designation program.
