Hello everyone!
New member here! I am new to my position as a Records Manager and have some questions regarding legal issues surrounding digital retention. I work for an insurance company and we are going paperless. Obviously we have thousands of record boxes that need to be digitized, but are there legal issues in keeping only scanned versions and destroying the originals? Im struggling to find much information on this topic especially in relation to the insurance industry and how to determine which items legally need to be physically retained. Does anyone have any information or leads on this topic?
