I think the gender gap is widening for a few reasons, one; being the pressure women who are moms are feeling juggling kids and jobs, two; the ease for people to accidentally leave you our of convos like you describe above, and three; political climate.
It is extremely hard to work from home while kids are schooling virtually - I am very lucky to be partnering with an organization right now who gets it and works with staff to make sure virtual workloads are balanced, people are communicating as they should be, and schedules are flexible.

I am seeing women being left out of meeting invites and men talking over them or not responding to them in video and audio conferencing. I am not sure if this is occurring more often in remote working or in office. What are you seeing?
