    Title: Digital Ethics: A Case Study of Critical Elements to Improve Information Governance

    : Digital Ethics addresses the "shoulds" rather than the "coulds" of an organization. The presentation is a case study and will examine specific examples of "should we do this?" or "shouldn't we look at this gap?" The case study will also examine digital ethics with a focus on the business value beyond just addressing compliance and risk to promote good corporate citizenship, brand trust, and digital ethics by design technology. Finally, the case study will describe how to develop a framework that aligns with information and corporate governance.

    Speaker's Bio:
    Lorelei Chernyshov initiated, formed and chair a digital ethics workgroup that provides recommendations to inform policy elements both enterprise and affiliate wide within the financial services organization.  Manage an information governance team comprised of programs addressing privacy, data flow and system mapping, business continuity, and PCI (Payment Card Industry) certification, and regulatory retention and disposition oversight.  Achieved a Master of Science in Legal Studies in Data Privacy and Cybersecurity; recipient of CIP In Action AIIM International Leadership Award 2019; and the SC Media Reboot International Leadership Award (Top Manager) for a holistic approach to cyber security and information governance.
