Description:

When could the stakes be higher for BP? Immediately following the BP Deepwater Horizon Incident in 2010, the BP Gulf Coast Restoration Organization, a completely separate organizational entity, was stood up in 90 days from vision to operation.

Russell Stalters was asked to create the data management program for the Gulf Coast Restoration Organization. In the span of a few months, he built a team of 200 IT professionals, business analysts, and data management specialists to address this ambitious challenge.

In his keynote he will highlight:

  • The scale and scope of the problem
  • Approaches used to create the strategy and project plan
  • Cultural challenges along with solutions used
  • Technical innovations used to extract the valuable information from varied data sources
  • The role of purpose, vision, and goals to support a 5+ year Program
