    Position Summary

    The City of Fort Worth Records and Information Management (RIM) Office, a division of the City Secretary’s Office, is seeking a Senior Records Analyst to further the deployment of the City’s Enterprise Information Management System (EIMS), Laserfiche, to transform old manual recordkeeping processes and holdings into a uniform, collaborative, enterprise-wide, electronic records and information management environment in which departments share information and collaborate to improve City functions and services.

    This Enterprise Information Records Analyst will partner with IT Solutions technical staff, assigned department staff, and City management to maximize the application and deployment of EIMS, prioritized to meet function-based information management needs and enhance online and direct access to public records and information for citizens.

    The ideal candidate will have a track record of successful deployment of document and information management software and systems in which cross-departmental functions were improved in an organization similar in size and complexity to the City of Fort Worth. In addition to enhancing transparency and efficiency, this position will develop and implement an on-going electronic records inventory program for all City departments to include the development of computerized records control schedules for electronic records in accordance with state law and City Code. The candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills at multiple organizational levels and have a demonstrated track record of facilitating and bringing to completion large-scale information management projects.

    About You

    • Responsible for assessing effectiveness and compliance of current departmental records and information management processes
    • Responsible for planning and coordinating multidepartment collaborative Laserfiche projects to enhance sharing of records and information
    • Responsible for maintaining and reporting performance measures associated with EIMS projects using Laserfiche or other information management tools, demonstrating improvements in efficiency and information access
    • Works within the RIM Team to further Citywide records inventory and disposition
    • Works within the RIM Team to further the creation and update of, and compliance with, records retention schedules
    • Works within the RIM Team to maximize public information request efficiency and effectiveness by enhancing online access to public information and improved interdepartmental sharing and production of requested information


    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Library Science, Records Management or related field
    • Five years of increasingly responsible experience in records and information management, enterprise content management, or related field
    • Strong writing and oral communication skills


    • Master's degree in Information Science, Library Science, Records Management, IT Project Management, or related field
    • Experience with information technology software and solutions in the area of records/document management

    Conditions of Employment

    Candidates with more years of relevant work experience may be considered.
