This week we meet Dawn Dove, Manager of Administrative Services. Dawn has been with AIIM since January 1993. She grew up at AIIM and with 21 years under her belt; knows where all the bodies are buried! Dawn is a font of historical knowledge about AIIM staff (present and past), members, and events. I can always count her to recall when or why something happened and get the full story - just the facts, ma'am.

Dawn is a local girl, from Potomac, Maryland in Montgomery County and still lives in Montgomery County, just a little further away. She lives in Germantown, Maryland with her 11 year old son, Daniel. When she’s not working, you can find her at Daniel’s sporting events or spending time with her family at her parent’s house. Let’s meet Dawn.

What do you do and what do love about it?

I manage administrative functions at AIIM from human resources to office operations. My days are busy and I often find myself looking up and seeing how fast the day has gone. I came up through the ranks and started in customer service in our membership department. Over my 21 years at AIIM I have met a lot of good people some of which are very close friends now. I think what I love most is that my job provides the best of both worlds, as I get to help internal and external customers.

What are you proudest of?

The birth of my son, he was my miracle child and I thank God every day that he is in my life. Work-wise, I am proud of how long I have been with AIIM. I have grown a lot and changed along with AIIM while adapting to a new way of business, technologies, and staff.

What do you do for fun?

Spending time with my son and family, we especially like to attend sporting events and family gatherings. I like the movies, comedies. I like to go bowling even though my son usually beats me - I have a good laugh trying to win! I like football too. My favorite players are Roger Staubach and Tony Dorsett. When football season comes around I am a huge Dallas fan! This can cause some laughs as my coworkers - especially John and Felicia are Redskins fans…….the rivalry continues.
